Welcome to D & C HR Solutions. With our client-base already covering Gauteng, Western Cape, KZN, Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga and Limpopo we are looking forward to be of service.
However, they say the best place to start with a story is at the beginning. The story of D & C HR Solutions goes as follows:-

Dumisani and my paths crossed in 2013 when we became colleagues in the HR Department of a mining company.

During the next few years we shared many exciting experiences, for example:

· implementing a biometrical access control, time & attendance and payroll system for 1 500 employees

· managing a 40 day strike including obtaining an urgent interdict based on our contention that the protected strike should be declared illegal/unprotected,

· not loosing a single case in the CCMA over a 10 year period,

· successfully defending the dismissal of the striking employees at the CCMA and obtaining a cost-award against the union for the matter,

· establishing an IR Department as well as developing a Collective Bargaining model which is based on proportional representation rather than the traditional levels of recognition and majority union “takes it all” principle which is catered for in labour legislation and widely practiced in the workplace and

· establishing an IR environment where the employer did not suffer a single day lost due to labour unrest in more than 5 years.

We also shared some other equally exciting but perhaps a little more dangerous and even a few life-threatening experiences, in the execution of our duties for example:

· Two failed abductions by disgruntled “tenderpreneurs”

· Being a hit-list

· Being surrounded by 150 employees who refused to let us go until their grievances were resolved

And then…we were both retrenched in February 2020.

Having worked together for almost seven years and with a collective 40 years’ experience in Human Resources and Industrial Relations we decided to start another exciting and hopefully less dangerous venture together…..

…and so was born our own company - D & C HR Solutions
